Some good deals here, and many are Disney-themed. Win-win for me.

Can anyone recommend any of the Cars games for a soon-to-be 4 year old?

    Like

    • CoD Master

Yes of course, and more better than that, Toy Story 3! He/she gonna love it!

At four years old, would not be it too complex ? Or maybe there is enough freedom to play it on an easy side ?

        Like

      • Gazmaster3D

Just for the ability to run around as the Toy Story characters its worth it for the younglings but yea it is a bit complex for them. On the other hand its a genuinely good game so adults can enjoy it as well and the kids can also watch along.

Yes there is freedom to play.

Have been wanting to try the Risen games.. Should I bypass the first in favor of the 2nd? or get both?

    Like

    • CoD Master

I would suggest to play only one of them and then see if you want to buy the other one, these games aren’t good enough.

Awful games. I wouldn’t recommend buying any of them tbh. Watch Angry Joe’s reviews of the games on Youtube(or any other game reviewer for that matter) to get a feel of how bad they are

    • ImTheMetalLord

I bought them the last time they were on sale and have barely touched them. They play kinda wonky but I wouldn’t say they are terrible. Worth the price if you ask me but there are better things you can get for that price on this sale if you don’t have them already.

Risen are very rare RPGs, it’s very slow and it takes a lot to like it, I played like 13 hours of R2 and while I enjoyed the time I spend on the game I could noticed that the game is not really that good, but it can be enjoyed by some people.

I’ve only played the first one. It’s a throwback to early 00’s PC RPGs, so if you’re into that sort of thing, you’ll have a good time. Just don’t go in expecting Skyrim production value, let alone scope. It’s a compact game, and your experience is reliant upon the choices you make within the world, in the ways you interact with characters and factions. The gameplay itself can be kind of clunky, but the narrative tone is nicely bleak. It’s worth giving a shot, at least.

Saints Row IV and its season pass and Dead Island Riptide for me! , but I can suggest Toy story 3 for you guys! Its a GTA but with toys, its so awesome, it isn’t only for kids and its for adults too!:)

What? Did you really just compare TS3 to the GTA games? Hmmmmm you peaked my interest in it that is for sure. I was gonna pass on it but how do you mean it’s likes GTA. Open world? Do missions you choose and upgrades? Or does it follow the movie line pretty closely? Which I enjoy those movies quite well but most time I avoid this type of game.

There is apparently a “Toy box” aspect that makes it an open space with an important freedom and creative side. Maybe in a way comparable to Disney Infinity, which seem in the same line. But only someone who played it could confirm…

        Like

      • Chris Hofer

Yes, there is an open “sandbox” environment in TS3, but so far (and I’m remembering this from a while ago) I was only able to build buildings and customize the colors. It’s been a while since I’ve dig that game out. Good stuff, though!

        Like

      • CoD Master

Yes it is an open world game doing missions and activities, and it has a story, you don’t have to worry its a good game.

Is $7.50 for castle of illusion the normal price or gold price? Unlike all of the other games it doesn’t show whether the labeled price is a “gold price” or not.

    Like

    • Sigognac

It is the discounted price. The normal price was near 15 $, if I remember well.
It seems that there is a Disney sale, available for everyone. The reference is at the buttom, but the asterisks seem forgotten. Other titles like Epic Mickey 2 or Bolt appear in the same way.

Metro *is* $25 on amazon/best buy right now. these digital “deals” suck so badly. At least attempt to compete with retail! Its not like its more expensive to release games digitally or anything

    Like

    • CodeeCB

Right?? Plus digital can’t be resold as used so I really don’t understand why they don’t try to be more competitive on digital pricing. Sell a new game at $49 and not give the chance to resell is. GameStop sells used games for $50-55 that they paid some poor person $20-30 for at best. That’s what these game publishers should try to be avoiding.

For 360 owners however last light is actually better.
