Okay bundles I understand but if the standalone Xbox One goes back to $349, you guys are going to get obliterated again by the PS4.

That would be a very very very bad move.

    Keep it at $349.

I fully agree. Going back to $400 would be the single worst decision Microsoft has ever made, and this is a company that released Windows ME.

While I expect the price to stay low (or retailers introducing their own bundles at reduced price etc.), consoles tend to sell fraction of their holidays sales in other months, losing those months wont hurt them that much.

In terms of mindshare it does matter. Who wants to hear Sony win consecutive NPDs, Xbox One can’t sell, Xbox doomed articles all over again.

And then come Jan. 4, Microsoft will wonder why the sales numbers plummeted

If you augment the price back to $399, it’s your funeral MS. Keep it at $349.

If you trade in a console to Toys R Us you get another $50 off coupon which drops the price to 299.99

Can I give them my Sega Genesis?

I don’t see why not. All the paperwork says is you can bring in any console. But id rather have a sega genesis than an XB1

so you’d rather have a mediocre console than the best console ever made. you’re a terrible troll, and lack any logic at all.

Hardly the best console ever made, and yes i’d rather have a sega than a XB1

as someone that has owned them all, it is most definitely the best console ever made, overtaking Dreamcast.

Please remember that you are selling an inferior product. Pricing should reflect that.

But superior in capabilities and features… and considering that if you purchase additional products to make ps4 able to match most of the one’s features the one is also cheaper. also superior in exclusive content (not games but other content).

        Just Saying.

price cut has been the only reason it’s been selling lately. thought they would’ve been smart enough to realize that.

Lower price….better game library….and better features, camera and controller with longer battery life.

THAT is why it is selling well.

Sorry I own a PS4 too…..and if not for my siblings playing DESTINY on PS4 vs XBOX ONE i wouldn’t have touched my PS4 since INFAMOUS: Second Son.

No exclusive games worth buying the system for. Its the truth. Early Adopters got burned as even the PS3 library was better at this same point in its life.

WRONG!!!! It wasn’t until the console was reduced by $50 at retail and included over $100 worth of FREE games that it began to sell well and (finally) outsell the PS4. All other attempts at outselling the PS4 FAILED miserably. Your opinions are just that, opinions. The fact remains XB1 only sold well because MS gave away everything and the kitchen sink this holiday season. Now back to selling 1 million all year long.

i think that maybe the console should stay $350 without kinect. i feel that is what it is worth. ps4 as well. $350 is a good price and only $400 when bundled with a game.

To put it in perspective, from Jan to March what’s coming out for the Xbox One? Now extend that to that May? You’re so confident at the amount of “content” within the next 5 months? Let’s not be surprised at what we all know is going to happen then.

Jan – may is always slow with few titles……

Looking at the Release Date of titles……XBOX ONE gets SCREAM RIDE, while PS4 gets THE ORDER & BLOODBORNE and BLADESTORM : NIGHTMARE. Everything else is multi-plat.

I’m only interested in THE ORDER….as it is a new IP….I’m hoping its gameplay has improved since PAX PRIME. BLOODBORNE I’m sure will bring in the Demon Souls/Dark Souls crowd. Have zero idea what Bladestorm is.

Could care less about indi ports…..as I have a gaming PC and Win 8/Android/iPad tablets.
