Is this part of the season pass?

It would have been. But not anymore that season pass owners got the free full game.

You’re wrong pal….it is part of the season pass. I’ve just downloaded it….no price on the DLC, just the words “Install”. Which clearly means it is part of the season pass.

The season pass is not available anymore. They stopped selling it because of how many bugs the game had at launch. They offered a free game for the people who bought the season pass plus everyone who got the game is going to get the DLC for free.

“Dead Kings” is free to those who did not purchase a season pass as a form of compensation due to the poor launch of the game, not all of the DLC. The free game was offered to those who bought the season pass for the same reason, however they are still receiving the content from the season pass that they paid for.

You’re right it is part of the season pass, but confusingly so.

I’ve just clicked through to the Xbox web site… £5.59

        Loaded AC: Unity … EStore … £5.59

Clicked through to buy it (just to find out) and it won’t let me “you already own this”.

So off to “My games & apps”, “AC: Unity”, “Manage Game” and there it is, already activated and sat in my pending add-ons.

Just plain odd way of handling things. Anyway, for anyone with the season pass just go straight to “Manage Game” and install from there, probably the quickest way.:-)

OOOOH you mean for people who already bought it? Yeah it’s likely then.

Yeah, it was. When I got home it just said ‘install’ for me.

So season pass owners get a free game and all the DLC, and we aren’t even able to purchase the Season Pass bundle as newcomers to the game? Nice…

Because the the cost of the dlc individually, minus the cost of what dead kings would have been, is less than the season pass. That’s why the removed the season pass because you would actually pay more for it than the individual dlc.

Yeah, after I posted this I noticed this included everything in the bundle. I thought it was only for one Add-on at that price.

Be aware that these are the Pre-order missions “The Chemical Revolution”, “The American Prisoner”, and “Killed by Science”.

Make sure the files are on the same drive as the game if you are using an external. I’ve had issues with Black Flag finding my DLC if it’s not on the same drive. Otherwise, I recommend a hard reset. Hold down the power “button”.

If you bought the game in November , how do you get the free dlc? Does the price show as $0 when you buy it in the xbox marketplace or is the method to redeem it different?

I thought they would fix the game first before releasing and charging for additional content.

WTF XBOX!??!??!! Why are you letting Ubisoft charge me for this promised free content? You let them publish a game for your system that was broken and charged me full price. Now you’re making me pay further because I knew better than to buy the season pass for this pos. You better adopt higher standards for what gets published on your system!!!!

      Not MS call

You obviously didnt read the comment in full or didnt fully comprehend my statement. It’s absolutely MS’s call. They are ultimately responsible for what gets published on THEIR console. It’s called business ethics.

Not when its the publishers call, don’t push the blame onto MS. In that case Valve and Sony have a hand in it as well. UBISOFT is ultimately to blame because they f**cking publish and market the game.

While I agree Ubisoft is to blame the most, you skipped over my statement once again. ADOPT BETTER STANDARDS FOR WHAT GETS PUBLISHED ON YOUR SYSTEM(NETWORK)! They employ qaqc people. I suggest they use them. If MS wants to be better than Sony or Valve then they need to step their game up on what gets published.

Who promised you this for free? Ubisoft offered people that owned Unity, but not the season pass, the “Dead Kings” DLC for free. If you purchased the season pass, you got all of the season’s DLC that you paid for and a game. This, nor any other DLC outside of “Dead Kings” from the Ubisoft press statement was ever mentioned as being offered for free.
