Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta Records 2.5 Million Hours and 20 Million Matches Played

If you follow my gameplay activity then you know I spent a fair amount of time playing the Halo 5 multiplayer beta while it was available, and apparently many of you did too.

A letter written by Josh Holmes to the Halo community details how data and player feedback from the beta will improve Halo 5: Guardians while providing an inside look at some of the statistics collected from the multiplayer beta. Check it out over at Halo Waypoint.

More than 181 million kills confirmed.

While the “Halo 5: Guardians” Multiplayer Beta proved to be a hit among fans, the treasure trove of gameplay data and player feedback it provided is an invaluable resource that 343 Industries is using to make the game’s multiplayer experience even better.

      Yeah, it’s bizarre how poorly it’s been handled. Sure, some problems were to be expected with a collection of games will all of them having different engines and interfaces, but the amount of bugs in this game on release is just unbelievable and it wasn’t limited to the multiplayer either, the campaigns had quite a few problems too.
      It’s even more disappointing it hasn’t been entirely fixed for everyone yet (I personally don’t have too many problems getting into matches ATM, but a few of my friends still do).
      And now they’re delaying Spartan Strike, when it was accidentally released in some marketplace and proven to be a fully functioning game. What the F!
      Anyway, I loved the Halo 5 beta, so I hope it gets a following. LOL at the 1 Killpocalypse. One lucky mutha.

    I found the halo 5 beta terribly disappointing. I played a few games but waiting 5 minutes to get into a match is not fun. If I do buy the game (big IF) it’ll be for the campaign instead. Sooner get Borderlands when it’s out.

    MCC works fine for me for a while now. My favorite game of all time despite the issues. H5 was a lot of fun I am excited for this game

    Don’t know what’s so special about Guardians multiplayer. The graphics don’t look too impressive and weapons sound like imported from Halo 4.

    Lol, the first time I read the last part of the topic sentence, I read it as: “…20 Million Patches Made”… O.O I sure hope it won’t take that many,😄. Nevertheless, MCC is a good fine game.

    meh, as a player from the original halo, you still die way too fast in H5, maybe im getting too old but 343 doesn’t get the automatic buy from me

    As i saw, team slayer is terrible, your shields doesn’t recharge if you are running or shooting,there’s no abilities and the maps are really small compared to halo 4.
    but i hope the big team slayer are better, i only play that game mode anyways.

      I really doubt Smart Scope is something a Halo fan even cared for.We’ve been playing without that type of mechanic for years.
      I think Smart Scope is there to make another demographic of Modern shooter fans/players comfortable with the game *nudge* …*nudge* You know what I’m saying?
