Plenty of us Aussies are keen for the game, think of it as our NHL/Madden equivalent. Most of us have little to no interest in Hockey or American Football (not being offensive there, I’ve watched and don’t mind both myself). But the price (AU$99) is a bit of a put off. I’d like it but not paying that much for it. There are some going as far as buying from the Russian store and getting it for half the cost. I’d pay the US price, the Australian pricing is a rort.

Maybe a bit longer. Traded games generally end up on the shelf at places like EB not much under new price. I’ll be keeping an eye out for a used bargain though. A shame digital prices are the way they are, I’d prefer to buy that way if prices were more competitive.

Also Australian made games take a lot longer than the big budget games to see a price drop. Rugby League Live is still $40 & Don Bradman on last gen is still around $50.

You really have no clue what you’re talking about. It’s kind of sad. Microsoft in NO WAY shapes the digital pricing of other publishers games. You are a complete and utter fool.

Not true but thanks for the input. The publishers suggests a price, Microsoft has the final say – true story.

        Like

      • Michael Burden

You got it backwards. The publisher does have the final say though Microsoft may suggest different pricing based on what similar items have sold at – ON DIGITAL ONLY RELEASES. They were more involved in the pricing of items on Live Arcade on the 360, but had absolutely no say on pricing of retail/disc releases. The current range of prices seen for Xbox One digital only titles should tell you that Microsoft is not setting the prices since they are all over the place.

Microsoft had absolutely nothing to do with setting the price of this game – and if they did I can guarantee you it would have been lower by at least $10.

I know a lot of people, especially in North America, will probably mock this game, but I tried out the PS3 version back in the summer, and it was actually pretty fun, despite not knowing anything about Cricket.

    • Waughy

Unlike yourself, there seem to be a lot of people that would rather just mock the game without even looking at it.
A shame there isn’t a demo so people unfamiliar with the game can try it before forming negative opinions, or for those of us that know the game inside out and are genuinely interested in it can try it out to see if the gameplay is any good before buying.
You don’t see people outside the US bagging Madden just because they don’t understand the game, just shows the attitude some American’s have when something comes along not tailored to their interests.
If you aren’t interested, stop looking and jog on.

It’s nice to know that I and everyone I know can be called out by perfect strangers for thinking and doing things we’ve never thought or done simply because you have a stipulation against our country.

I’d give this cricket game a shot a million times over before I ever wasted money on bullcrap like madden.

Most of the people I know would as well because it’s kind of exotic to us. You gotta figure, here in the US were drowning in football, basketball and baseball. You never hear about cricket though. It’s a cool change.

Why don’t you calm down on assuming so much about 319 million people because of a small rude vocal minority you see online?

Even Japan is a BIG baseball country, same goes for Korea, so I am reeeeally sure cricket is no where near as big as baseball.
