Sorry but for $40, I need a DEMO first, not Twitch videos.

Sorry, I played the demo for this game, and I quickly deleted it. I really didn’t care for it that much.

Not my cup of tea. Strange coming out of people who made Elite, Frontier Elite and Elite Dangerous and yet we get shafted and get this. I played original elite on commodore 64 for a year.

I played the demo & hated it at 1st, but something kept drawing me back

It’s not going to be a Full price pick up for me, but I’ll have it in a sale

I can understand why some people wouldn’t like this, but I played it with other people and it was a lot of fun. Especially the mode where you have to blow things up. It’s all about high scores which makes it competitive with a bunch of people. There’s also a level editor which I didn’t try, but if it has a community to download user made levels then this will have lots of re-playability.
It is something new and made very well. Games like this deserve a chance whereas most AAA titles are always a let down.

This I can see. But the destruction mode seemed way to easy with the ability to move after the throw.

This game is proof Next-Gen developers are so out of touch with the Xbox One consumers. HD remakes, 8 bit Indies, and very very few true Next-Gen games… and when we do get a Next-Gen exclusives, it’s Screamride, that appeals to the smallest of smallest niche gamers. Oh wait, it’s on the 360 too, go figure….

Not every development company can afford the millions it takes to get a “Next’Gen” product out in the short amount of time you have to go from concept to product before you’re behind the eight ball. Same thing happened when we went from Xbox OG to Xbox 360. Took a few years before you really started to see what the 360 could actually do.

I loved the demo. I didn’t think riding was going to be fun, but it was… trying to get the goals & beat your own high score. Then the destruction mode tops it off with being fun & devious… and then the build-it mode is the icing on the cake. I didn’t like it as much as the other two modes, but probably if I built it correctly, I might have. Frontier did a good job with RCT3 despite it’s constant comparisons to RCT/RCT2, so I’m not surprised they did good here.

If this is on GoD, I’m getting it for 360… I just want to see a good critic’s review of it.

The demo was fun for a little while. I would pay $10 for it. No way in hell is this a $40 game though. Unless you can get lost in the creation mode, which is something I am unable to do.

$19.99 max for me. It doesn’t have enough Tycoon features IMO. This would have been awesome with a VR headset. Why oh why doesn’t MS make an Xbox Phone that can work like Samsung’s GearVR?

The game is $40 because the physical copy version is $40. Same situation as Shadow Warrior people.

Your comment is a bit of a tautology, I’m afraid. To say that the digital version of the game is $40 because the physical version is $40 does not actually tell us anything. The question the masses appear to be asking is why the game (however it may be distributed) is $40.

I really enjoyed the demo. Very fun diversion from other games. I just don’t think it is worth $39.99. Too many better games can be bought for that price. If they do a 50% off at some point I would definitely grab it though.

Will be picking it up. $40 is a good price (sorry to contradict all your statements). If it were $59, I’d say no, but $40 I can swing. And will:-) Enjoyed the demo.

Yeah, $40 seems like a great price for what is seems to be a budget game. People’s perception of value seems really off.

Did you play the demo? My guess is neither of you did. Also no apology necessary Kingcrusher, you didn’t contradict anything.

I did. And based on his comment so did Kingcrusher. Having now played the retail release, I’ve already spent about 2.5 hours on just the first two areas of the game and that isn’t five starring the levels or getting the challenges. There is plenty of content here for $40. Granted value is subjective but I’m quite happy with my purchase.

You’re right, it’s completely subjective. Sorry for jumping down your throat. But I still fail to see how anyone was contradicted here.

Tried the demo. I was really hoping for a more realistic roller coaster simulator. I can’t play this with my little boy around anyway as he’ll be terrified to go on coasters in a few years thinking he’ll go flying off them at a moment’s notice! LOL
