Haha same here man! Glad I held off on getting the pre sequel. I KNEW it was going to get ported lol. I remember arguing on you tube with a guy when this game was first released saying I guarantee that it would be on xbox one within a year. Surprise surprise ! Lol

Can’t wait to get back into the borderlands kill, loot, upgrade, repeat cycle haha. Such great games.

Pftt it’s all good. I’m not one of those super serious gamers that needs to be elite lol. I play just to have fun, though I do consider myself fairly good at most genres. Except for strategy.. rts and otherwise. Lol

Some games have demos, others do not. It is all up to the developer now as to whether they release a demo or trial.

I think a lot of developers are now avoiding demos as it has been shown to have a negative impact on potential sales.

There was a recent survey and article about the topic can’t remember where but a quick google should find it.

Mandatory trials like on XBLA for the 360 no longer exist and never have on the Xbox One. Eurogamer published an article where games without demos sell more some time ago and ever since demos are on the decline on all the platforms.
You’ll be noticing the same on the Xbox 360 right now, currently there are a few games coming out without demos and the Arcade label no longer being applied to the top of the box art. It’s because Xbox Live Arcade is likely to be removed this year. Everything will be filed under “Games” from now on and trials will no longer be mandatory, which, IMO, sucks. Fortunately there are still a few games that are on both platforms that still have a trial on the 360.

They might sell more, but you’ll also end up with a lot of angry and disappointed customers who will never buy your products again. Overall it hurts the industry. But people are shortsighted by greed and only see $$$.

Exactly. I avoided bad games and found good games because of demos. Now, I’ll be buying a lot less games and just wait for em to be free in GWG.

On a relative basis and comparing it with the 360, there are far less demos now. Yes, there have been a few released in the past couple of months for the Xbox One, but overall it’s definitely on the decline.

I made a valid point, ive invested in the next machine to move forward and not rebuy the same old games from the previous. Is this why backwards compatability was not an option inorder to try and cash in on the older games with added graphics. Don’t get me wrong ive bought some till fill the gap waiting for unique xbox ones games which seems to be scarce compared to previous console launches. Its been over a year now. I want new games.

        It’s for people who;

        1) Never played one or both of the games before.
        2) Played the games but not all the DLC.
        3) Want a good couch co-op FPS for Xbox One. Borderlands supports 4 way split screen.

Just ignore it, as I don’t think it is stopping or delaying any of their other games.

Yes, it’s great (from what I played of it, which was the first few sequences at a friend’s house). Sort of a crossover between 3 and Black Flag in both story and gameplay. I’m thinking about getting it on PC too. Didn’t have the time yet to get in on 360 but really want to play it at some point.

Nice. I loved black flag but wasn’t much of a fan of 3. I wonder how good it will look on pc. Hopefully it’s better optimized than most of ubisofts other pc games lately.

Yes, it’s definitely improved since release, but the controls and the parkour is much clunkier on Unity than it was on the previous games. It does look better however.

The Pre-Sequel feels more like a $30 expansion. Maybe it’s because it’s made by someone else. BL2 though is a great sequel and I enjoyed it more than the first one. You’ll get to see the familiar faces of the previous vault hunters and see what they’ve been up to and even do some missions with them that are part of the main story line.

To be totally honest the story is really just background noise in these games. Don’t get me wrong it’s a decent story but its mostly little self contained stories that are the reasons for doing missions that really make the game. The dialogue is hilarious.. but yeah borderlands 2 is pretty awesome so I’d start there if I were you… there’s so much dlc you can play these games forever.

BL2. just to reaffirm the person who responded earlier. And what did you find boring about BL1? I thought BL2 had almost too many things going on with it compared to BL1. But 2 is more colorful and diverse of a game I would say. More enemy types, guns, etc.

It’s better to play B2 and experience Handsome Jack in all his evil ways before you play the pre-sequel and find out why he became that person.

I’m keen to reset my BL2 UMVH game and play through at the whole game at OP8. I held off on the pre sequel knowing (guessing) it’ll appear on the new console.

My one and only wish…I hope they fixed matchmaking for OP levels 3 to 8.

The server browser is capped at level 72 on the 360. It shows games +/-
2 levels taking it to a max of OP2. At OP3 you could only join lower leveled games and not join games with people of a similar OP level. Essentially it destroyed matchmaking.
