    WTF…$60?! I thought this was going to be $25-$30. There are ports of 360 games that look infinitely better for a portion of the cost.
    Oh well. March and April had way more than I can handle playing – this insane price point saved me some trouble

    Yeah, I was somewhat interested until I saw the price. I’ll probably just wait a week and get the Borderlands XB1 port instead.

    Edit: To be fair, I guess I shouldn’t be ‘that’ surprised at the price since Square charges $10-20 for ports of older FF games on iOS.

    What is problem with price?
    Psp game wasnt even on english, just a fan translation.
    They used new engine and you can spend over 70+ hours in this game.
    Is 60 dollars is so much?

      It’s people’s perception of value. They know where the game came from and how much effort to place onto a next gen system. Since not a ground up game and knowing the price of PSP games, not many want to pay near full price. Think of it this way…. “Coming son to Xbox One, Mario 64 Untouched from the Nintendo 64 System! Relive your glory days!!” Yeah…. no one would buy that at $60.

        Well, for me there is difference between mario and some nice jrpg.
        They even get me a japanese dub.
        And to tell the truth, there is certainly not much jrpg on big consoles for now.

        But how much did psp games cost? At most $50? And they’re fairly old. So a remaster shouldn’t be $60. If it was a full rebuild, that’s different.

        If you interested in game sure you pay 10 more dollars for chance to play it.
        Maybe people who wrote it, wasnt even interested in game.
        But i watched japanese trailers and was really hyped.

        Translating a game has never increased the price. It does look good, but again, its an oldish game. Look at Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica. They were upscalled on 360/ps3 and sold for $20. Metro 2033 and Last Light are more recent and sold for $25 each on x1 and ps4.

        So $60 for an oldish upscaled game is too much. Length and originally not being localized are irrelevant.

        I think it is quite logical to pay more money for game with much more gameplay.
        You can play this game for like month and have many hours of fun.

        They even used new engine.
        I agree, it could be cheaper.
        But lol, this is square enix.
        We should be happy they dont sell 100 costumes and new game+.

        Skyrim and The Order: 1886 were both $60 at launch. One game provides dozens if not hundreds of hours of gameplay, the other less than 10 hours.

    As a casual FF fan, I had friends purchasing this simply for the FFXV demo, and thought I would bite since the PAX gameplay looked promising, but at $60 that’s way too steep for a portable port.
