Why would you complain about already buying it. I really don’t understand anyone anymore. This is life…get used to it now or gripe and moan about things the rest of your life because this will happen to you about a million more times.

what are you people talking about? the whole point is that the gift is gift only to the people who don’t own the DLC. that’s it. number of hours i did or could spend playing it is totally irrelevant, so is time passed since it’s available.

      • ImTheMetalLord

Not if you look at the glass as half full instead of half empty. Meaning, look at it as a gift to you since there will be more noobs on maps you have had practice on. It’s a gift because more people in general will be playing it now that this is free. See how easy that is?

Yeesh you’re feeling overly entitled here. You know what you got for buying the dlc and playing it? You got to spend that time with it, you got to enjoy it and get your moneys worth. Had you not bought it at the time then you wouldn’t have had those good experiences with the game.

You don’t need a gift here, you’ve had time with it that you otherwise wouldn’t have had. Know what your gift is for your time playing Titanfall, which you’re implying you’ve put a huge number of hour into is? More people to play with, a more populated game with more variation in skill levels and tactics.

Don’t turn your nose up at this, this is beneficial to you as well.

I could see some legitimacy in complaining if it was last weeks DwG, where it would be free a day or two after going off of sale. But it has been a little while since Titanfall was offered if memory serves me correctly. And the offering while it was on sale was extremely reasonable. Plus, you have to look at all of the enjoyment that you have had playing the game for that amount of time prior to now. That has to be worth something or you would have never purchased it to begin with.

BS! I paid like $7 several months ago for the Season Pass and haven’t played it yet. So basically I’m getting screwed out of $7 today. Thanks, MS!

So…Titanfall as a game with gold in April ;)?

    Like

    • Burnt Offering

I don’t see April, but it is a good possibility. They are offering up the DLC for free so that people who have not bought the game will have a pretty decent reason to. I think they will give people a month or two to mull over purchasing before offering it through GwG. That said, if it is in April’s lineup the community will definitely be getting the resurgence in players that it needs.

  • ambuckle

Already bought all of it but thanks for the middle finger.

    Like

    • Burnt Offering

I don’t get this kind of comment. It isn’t like they asked themselves “What does ambukle own so that we can give it way to tick him off?” The game needs an online community so they are going to constantly have to do different things to remain relevant. Giving away DLC that they already put on sale at an extremely good discount is a good progression that other publishers should follow to maintain interest in their title. If they offer Titanfall up on the GwG for April are you going to consider that an insult too?

purchased the game full price, and got the DLC on sale, but I don’t feel cheated in any way. Fun game, and now there’ll be more people on. This kind of complaining is so pointless and childish. If you don’t like the price you pay, then don’t pay and just wait. Eventually everything goes on sale…

I already have the season pass but now my friends that didn’t buy it can play the new content with me.
Personally, I believe the game should have been released with the DLC already included and then added further content after.
The release game was too small for a multiplayer only game.

Playing the game after all the updates makes it seem like a whole new game today. I’m not sure if the map packs needed to be there are release, but definitely some of the additional game types, rankings, currency, etc. would have help make the game fell slightly more “full” in light of the absent true-campaign.

Awesome. Very strange to see EA do something good for a change. EA is usually a bunch of money hungry moorons.

    Like

    • AaronionRings

EA get far more flack than they really deserve, they’re nowhere near that bad. Mass Effect 3 was great with how they handled dlc as far as I’m aware, DA:I is doing similar things, they give away free games regularly on Origin including some big titles and even with microtransactions being added to PvZ: Garden Warfare, it’s only for in game currency that’s so easy to obtain in game that you’ll likely never consider paying for them and all dlc for the game is free. Something like this wouldn’t be a stretch for them.

This isn’t EA doing it though, it’s Respawn. Respawn own the IP, EA are just the publishers. This is why EA Access doesn’t grant a 10% discount on Titanfall and didn’t give a discount on dlc when it had a price attached. It was always specified as being excluded. Respawn deserve the credit here.

Well Activision EA and Ubisoft have been truly the main 3rd party developers/publishers supporting the current gen throughout 2014. all three of them deserve a medal.

Rockstar? How did you leave them out? LOL

        Like

      • cortez

because Rockstar only released a ported GTA 5. Activision, EA, Ubisoft have been actively making games for current gen ( although cross-plaform games) in 2014. other third party like gearbox, capcom, square enix and even fromsoftware ( yeah i know that they are releasing bloodborne) have been supporting current with last gen rehashes. and some of these rehashes should not be called definitive edition for example DMC definitive edition has some phrases removed in the cutscenes due to their sugguestive nature.
