Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Announcement Trailer

Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal released a trailer today for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – coming soon.

According to developer Eidos-Montreal, the game directly follows the aftermath of the Aug Incident, a day when mechanically augmented citizens all over the world were stripped of control over their minds and bodies, resulting in the deaths of millions of innocents. The year is now 2029, and the golden era of augmentations is over. Mechanically augmented humans have been deemed outcasts and segregated from the rest of society. Crime and acts of terror serve as a thin veil to cover up an overarching conspiracy aimed at controlling the future of mankind.

I played one of these games on the 360, ( I’m not sure if there is more then one game in the series ) and I enjoyed it a lot considering it was a bargain bin £2 pick up. If this game is anything like that other game then I’ll sure as hell pick this one up.

There are 2 versions of “Human Revolution” on the 360: the original release, and the “Director’s Cut” which had all DLC, enhanced gfx, and game changes (it was worth getting the Dir Cut even though I played the original release 😉 )

I’m not sure which edition I got. I don’t remember playing any DLC.

It was kind of a shame that the announcement was leaked before the #CantKillProgress stream was finished.

It was still nice if dragged on a bit. I love how even though EVERYONE knew they had a few awesome parts like referencing Panchea at the end of HR, the trailer was awesome and the chat blew up in seconds. 5k people watching some guy for 3 Days.

Love this series. I’m guessing we’ll see Human Revolution Directors Cut on the XBOX One at some point and I can’t say I’d be unhappy about having an excuse to replay that.

You can’t assume that by the trailer alone. Even the Human Revolution trailer was action packed to. It just showcases some of what you can do while hinting at some story bits. This will still be a great game 🙂

Yeah but Human Revolution was a worse game than the first one…That was action shooter, stealth game not an rpg

It was still an amazing game, being able to beat the first one is a ridiculous goal

The first game wasn’t really an RPG either….
If you take away the comparison and play the game as its own, as if it doesn’t belong to any series, it’s a fantastic game. It’s actually my favorite game on console 🙂

I wish they’d show actual gameplay in trailers and announcements. I cant understand how a cg trailer makes people think the game looks awesome…..

Because its a tease of what’s to come, its a nice way of introducing the story, settings and new characters without giving too much away.
Plus it gives ideas as to what’s new in gameplay like the Stun Arm, Pulse arm cannon, Arm blade launcher.
