Was just thinking about getting this on Steam. I don’t have an Xbox One (Still not yet) but this is even cheaper than steam being gold. Looks like a great game.

Lifeless seems an apt way to describe this game from the clips. I am cautious here. Metacritic scores are not very good. Will be watching, but not buying right away.

This is where demos would have been so blasted helpful. With a demo the likelihood of me buying would have skyrocketed. As it stands…. nope.

    When will you learn, developers?

One of the main things I miss from last gen is the demos for arcade games

This game is more of an interactive story than an action game, the controls are very simplistic and in that sense a demo wouldn’t do it much justice.
Its all right I you like they sort of games. Just watch a few clips and if you like the look of it then decide by that.

Developers are losing out with me with no demos.

I still remember getting PVZ garden warfare for free which I’m still playing to this day nearly 6 months since I got the game. That game clicked and was so fun the moment I played it. EA lost out on £40. A demo for that game would have been perfect because I’d have never played it otherwise.

It would be so easy for Microsoft to implement free trials for games too. They should just allow you to download any game and have a 15 min free trial while you are online, maybe longer for certain titles. The game would just lock up after the time window.
This would require downloading the full game but at least you would get to try the game. Or they should offer refunds if done quick enough.

It already exists. It was implemented for developers about a year ago. Demos don’t make it into games anymore because games with demos sell less.

It is beyond me why people buy such rubbish are their lives that dull that they have to fill their time with inane games.

Its beyond me why people like you think your OPINION is the the only one that matters and have the right to judge other people’s gaming preferences (or life for that matter).

Grow up and realize people have different gaming tastes and you are not the final jury that decides what is good or bad for everyone.

it would seem you are the one that needs to grow up. it is my opinion and i’m entitled to express it. If you don’t likre it tough just ignore my comments But as usual you do love to jump on other people’s comments that don’t agree with your own don’t you.

I never said that people don’t have a right to enjoy it just that I don’t get why anyone would want to play a game that is a walking simulator. Playing a game that is challenging, entertaining, fun, artistic or tells a great story I fully understand but, this.

        Here is your quote:

“It is beyond me why people buy such rubbish are their lives that dull that they have to fill their time with inane games.”

You are making a judgement about people saying their lives are dull to enjoy this game – sounds like a judgment to me. Having an opinion about a game is fine, judging people based on their gaming choices or preferences is not and very childish. What you find “challenging, entertaining, fun, artistic or tells a great story” does not apply to every person – which is why there are so many different genres of games out there. What you consider fun someone else may consider dull, uninspired, or just plain bad.

Furthermore, I did not jump on your comment because I disagreed with your opinion of the game (which I doubt you have even played, thus I ignored that to begin with), but because of your attitude and disrespect for people who may enjoy this sort of game. So as I said, grow up and realize there are more opinions in the world that matter than yours alone.

The game is more about the story and exploring a planet and discovering the secrets. It may not be as exciting as Halo or COD but that is not the point of the game. I don’t understand the appeal of games like Flow or even Minecraft but I don’t just dismiss it as garbage just because I don’t understand it. Indy developers like to try new things and let their creativity out.

So developers shouldn’t try new things with games and storyline techniques. We should get endless clones of already established titles?

I’m not saying that, just that there are far too many of them. Let’s be honest there aren’t many percentage wise that have been good are there?

I do think that it has turned it shovelware this generation and it is so amusing considering how everyone criticised the Wii for having that exact same issue.

Steam used to be very fussy about the content it offered now they just don’t give a damn we have seen many controversial titles released, scams, plagarised etc.

Yes there is the odd gem but rarely.

Well I watched several gameplay videos of it as I initially thought that it might be quite good as an exploration game. But I saw nothing in it that looked remotely enjoyable.

I still stand by my original assumption that I cannot see why anyone would enjoy this game. To me this is just the same sort of shovelware that the Wii was so heavily criticised for having.

Sadly Steam is now littered with these sorts of games and a lot seem to be being ported to the Xbox. Fine if you enjoy it but I personaly expect better quality than this for my money.

Thats fine. You are more than welcome to question why a person should buy a game that isn’t to your taste. But to question their lives based on a game is something I would leave to the Daily Mail readership :p

Got this cheap in an indie bundle on PC. Was really excited for it – loved the premise, but it turned out to be agonizingly boring with very bland visuals.

i recommend steering clear of this one.
