I like this small trend lately of launch sales for Gold members who want to get in early. As someone that generally buys games he wants at launch, it’s great for me. Keep it up!

I read an article talking about how the industry forced “launch sales” on itself because of GwG, IGC, Flash Sales, etc. The writer called it “Console Generation Wait.” Basically the idea was that because of the deep weekly sales and the potential for a game to be given away free, many would-be day one buyers are deciding to wait it out, sometimes never picking up the game at all. According to the author the notion of launch sales came about to give a sense of reward for purchasing digital at release. It looks like he may have very well been spot on because MS, Steam and Sony are all pretty much doing the same thing. Not bad for us customers though.

Especially since demos are super rare now. There are several interesting games, but without a demo (and very little extra cash), I can’t take a chance on the smaller games. I found and avoided lots of 360 arcade games because of demos. Now I wait for sales and gwg.

I’d rather have demos to tempt me than limited time small sales.

Sure, I would too, but it’s nice to get something for picking it up early rather than waiting for the inevitable sale later on.

Some of that art style looks like it has been stripped straight from Mario games.

I was thinking the same thing. When I looked at the image with the map I had to take a second look because I had almost mistaken it for Super Mario World.

Just change the texture or colour to most of those and it’s from Mario.

Take the 4th image for example, those rectangles, colour those green.

Yay more trash indie games for my trash box instead of triple a exclsuive titles after a year + of it being out.. 🙂 Yep that’s exactly what we all bought a 300-500 dollar console for.. Rehashed games of last gen and non stop trash indie games.. my trash box has definitely been a great dust collector I have to say with all these amazzzzing titles.. 🙂

Have you even played Sunset Overdrive, Ori and the Blind Forest, D4, MCC, Project Spark w/ Conker, Killer Instinct, Titanfall, or any multiplat games? It sounds like you’re just trying to be a hater. If you feel like your money is better spent on a different console, then go return your Xbox and get something else. I don’t understand what’s so hard about that.:)

Is this another US only title? I was keen as for this but I can’t see it on the Aus store… Starting to feel a little let down Major.

It sucks, we also don’t get Unmechanical: Extended which is on sale this week. Hate how this happens to us. It is either not for sale in Australia or sold in Australia with a much higher price.

It’s showing up on the Canadian store, so while it might not be available worldwide, it’s not US only.

First of all %60 of new game titles are pixel platforms just like this one. (There are many good 3D game samples exist developed by independent publishers. So people are still demanding these pixel games.) I just don’t get it.

And including big companies, they’ve started to cancel publishing games to XBox360 & PS3, just bcs they can’t meet hardware requirements… Really?
What about the titles from previous year like Watchdogs, AC IV, Wolfeinstein New Order? What’s changed ever since on game engines?

This is called new gaming era. Hallelujah!

Got this first day, love it so much! Hope there’s a second one on the cards. One thing that wasn’t good was after a bit of play collecting coins would drop the frame rate.
