E3 Day Two Recap

Technically, yesterday was the first official day of E3 2015, and once the doors were open to the fans, it didn’t take long for the Xbox booth to fill up with gamers eager to try everything we showed off in the Xbox E3 Briefing. It was also another great day for the Xbox Daily: LIVE @ E3 show.

    Here’s a summary of the content shown on the Tuesday show:

  • Halo 5: Guardians E3 HoloLens Experience – We showed a behind-the-scenes look at the Halo 5: Guardians Warzone experience, created exclusively for E3, all brought to life through HoloLens.
  • Halo 5: Guardians – 343 Industries studio head Josh Holmes, lead multiplayer developer William Archbell, and senior environmental artist Wade Mulhern joined Major Nelson to answer fans’ questions about Warzone and more.
  • Forza Motorsport 6 – Turn 10’s Dan Greenawalt talked about technical details of Forza Motorsport 6 and revealed a few new racing accessories.
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider – Brian Horton from Crystal Dynamics discussed the highly anticipated next installment in the Tomb Raider franchise coming exclusively to Xbox this holiday.
  • Xbox Elite Wireless Controller – We showed more about the new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, David Prien, senior development program manager, Xbox Accessories, and Mike “Strongside” Cavanaugh, 343 Industries Pro Team member showed how the advanced controller is built to meet the rigorous demands of hardcore, competitive-level gamers on the console and Windows 10.
  • Oculus Rift – Nate Mitchell from Oculus talked about the latest details of the Rift and how the Xbox One controller and Xbox games are playing a role.
  • Toy Soldiers: War Chest – We debuted an exclusive first look at a demo of the new game and showed the split-screen two-player mode.
  • Just Cause 3 and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Jean-Francois Dugas, executive game director, and Roland Lesterlin, game director, offered an exclusive look at two highly anticipated Square Enix titles.
  • ION – Developer Dean Hall introduced ION, an ambitious project following the success of DayZ.
  • LEGO Dimensions – Mark Warburton, associate producer for Warner Bros.’ TT Games, shared more details about LEGO Dimensions.
  • Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 – Justin Wiebe and Sarah Jansson from PopCap talked about the newly announced Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.
