Homefront: The Revolution is coming to Xbox One on 17 May and starting tomorrow a number of Xbox One players will get to experience The Revolution first hand with the launch of the closed beta.
Homefront: The Revolution Closed Beta will run from 11-14 Feb. Servers go online this Thursday at 7 PM GMT (8 PM CET, 2 PM EST, 11 AM PST).
Philadelphia – once the birthplace of Independence – has become a ghetto, where surveillance drones and armoured patrols keep the population at heel, crushing any dissent with savage force. Her once-proud citizens live in a police state, forced to collaborate just to survive, their dreams of freedom long since extinguished. But in the badlands of the Red Zone, in the bombed out streets and abandoned subways, a Resistance is forming. A guerrilla force, determined to fight for their freedoms despite overwhelming odds and ignite the second American Revolution.
Homefront: The Revolution is an open-world first person shooter where you must lead the Resistance movement in guerrilla warfare against a superior military force. A living, breathing, open world responds to your actions – you and your Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight.
Since this is a closed beta, the only way to gain access is through acquiring an Xbox One Beta Token; Deep Silver and Xbox have been running a number of promotions over the past few weeks and I will be giving some away on my social media channels, but your best chance of getting a Beta Token and staying informed of developments is by registering on the official Homefront website.
