10 Reasons to Pick Up an Xbox One this Holiday

It’s a great year to be an Xbox fan. Between an extraordinary lineup of Xbox One-exclusive titles, a huge variety of Xbox One bundles to choose from, the new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller and a number of new features, there’s never been a better time than now to add an Xbox One to your holiday wish list. We’re thrilled to be bringing so much to our fans this season – here’s a look at all the reasons it’s the best time ever to be an Xbox gamer:

The greatest games lineup in Xbox history

The 2015 Xbox One launch lineup was the most-awarded lineup in Xbox history at E3, and Halo 5: Guardians was the most-awarded Halo ever at the show. With titles like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition available only on Xbox One this holiday and blockbusters like Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops III, there’s never been a better selection of games to play on Xbox. Then, in 2016, Xbox fans can look forward to another batch of stellar titles, including Quantum Break, ReCore and Crackdown 3.

More hardware choices than ever

This year, there are more Xbox One console options than ever before. Whether it’s the Xbox One Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition Bundle, the Xbox One Elite Bundle or the Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle, there’s a console for every gamer.

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller is an advanced wireless controller built to meet the rigorous demands of hardcore, competitive-level gamers on Xbox One and Windows 10. With professional-level customization for game-changing accuracy, faster speed and durable and comfortable construction, Xbox fans will have access to a controller that’s unlike anything that came before it starting this month.

Backward Compatibility

One of the most-requested fan features for the console, this November, Xbox One Backward Compatibility will let fans play more than 100 Xbox 360 games – including the Gears of War series, Mass Effect and Shadow Complex – directly from their Xbox One. It’ll be available at no additional charge, so you won’t have to pay to play games you already own.

The greatest social gaming community in Xbox Live

Gaming is better together, and with Xbox Live Gold, friends can connect on one of the world’s largest social gaming communities dedicated to multiplayer games. Members also get two free Games with Gold on Xbox One and Xbox 360 every month.

More storage means more gaming

With custom consoles and bundles like the Xbox One Forza Motorsport 6 Limited Edition Console, the Xbox One Rise of the Tomb Raider Bundle and the Xbox One Fallout 4 Bundle, Xbox One owners can now get 1TB of storage space. That’s enough to play every game in our holiday lineup and still have room to spare.

It just keeps getting better

Regular updates to Xbox One bring fans new features and enhancements all the time, including voice messages, screenshot functionality and game hubs. Many of these ideas come directly from Xbox Feedback, where gamers can voice their opinions and help shape the future of the console.

The Xbox One NFL app

This season, you can download the new NFL app for Xbox One and Windows 10 devices for free. With Fantasy Football and personalized smart notifications on the big screen and the addition of Next Gen Stats, Xbox fans enjoy an unmatched game day experience.

A new experience, better with Windows 10

This season, Xbox One will be completely re-imagined when the New Xbox One Experience arrives in November. Powered by Windows 10, this update will bring a new Guide, a redesigned Home, a new Community section and more to the console, making for the fastest and most social Xbox experience ever. Windows 10 also allows fans to play and connect with friends across Xbox One and Windows 10 devices, and stream their favorite Xbox One games to their PCs in their homes.

TV any way you want it

Xbox One gives fans all the best TV options all in one place, so you can choose to watch what you want, when you want. With on-demand apps like HBO GO and Netflix, Sling TV, live TV through your cable or satellite box, and Over-the-Air TV, there’s something for everyone.

With so much coming to the console this holiday and new features being added with regular updates, it’s a great time for fans to jump ahead with Xbox One. Stay tuned for more exciting holiday news coming soon!
