Some people have bandwidth download caps with their ISPs and high over usage charges. All downloads and cloud storage isn’t an option for everyone.

maybe, but honestly your are not going to buy a lot of new game per month, maybe the first month, but on normal use most people will buy between 0-1 game per month with casual expension pack. At worst 10 gig of download in a month. I don’t know any ISP that doesn’t give enough DL for that. Online playing doesn’t take a lot of bandwidth. A mix of both can help other user that suffer from very very low bandwidth. Most ISP also sell extra gig for a few dollar.

500gig is a lot untill they finish the USB driver for external hard disk. You should be ok. Let’s hope so

Very likely since every game needs to be installed to play and it is expected that they will take more space than the average XB360 game. Remember, a Blu-ray disc can hold up to 50GB.

Your post was either deceptive or extremely naïve about the eagerness of fans for new info. What you did damages the trust that MS is still trying to rebuild with the consumers. Getting snippy about it makes you look bad, not him.
Toss in the off-hand removal of the already announced feature (external storage) and the vague comments that suggest that what we get may not be what was promised (full support for off-the-shelf HDDs) and you’ll see that people are worried with good reason. MS seemed to have gotten its act together (I never had a problem with the old policies but had to do a lot of research on my own to reach that conclusion as no two MS employees were giving the same answer to any given question the first two or three days after the Reveal), but seems to be moving backwards in PR in the last week.

Well you know it’s very hard for them to get it right when they have got fingers in there ears and they are singing at the top of there voices “ner ner we not listening” . I think that if they are trying to kill off xbox on the other hand then they ate doing a great job.

To be perfectly honest I preferred the original plan, but I was in the minority apparently. I feel bad that these men and women at Microsoft worked so hard at making a great product and basically had to scrap the majority of it and every time they read any feedback its nothing but negativity. Larry tell the Xbox team they’re doing a great job and I can’t wait until November to see what they been working on! Thanks!

Well, the fact that Titanfall and LocoCycle were not in the original post and were playable on the floor= surprise. I will not be using the term surprise again with this audience, since it clearly means something different with this audience. Apologies. As far as HDD support, can you point me to where ‘full support for off-the-shelf HDD’s’ was promised at launch? I want to be sure I can see the context.

I think the issue is that most of us read unannounced game playable and thought of a new game that we haven’t heard about yet.

My apologies Major, I guess people are upset because they already knew these games were playable (or at least assumed they were and that there was some other thing coming) as I posted about playing them after my GamesCom visit on here.
I loved playing them, so from a game perspective I don’t think people should be so disappointed, but that’s just the way it goes I guess.

i know you sold 10 million of the first kinects but most of them ended up in second hand shops for around £20.

so Why are MS making us have to buy the new kinect with xb1.
if Ms had any balls they would ask it customers if they wanted it.

if MS offered the system at £299 without kinect how many would want kinect.based one at £430

i would bet that most would not.
i know that some high level execs love kinect and that you have spent loads of cash on kinect but the truth is most of us don’t want it .
please do me a favor and show this post to the high exec that want kinect .
then we will see if you are putting the consume first or dictating what the consumer wants in your eyes.

if MS is consumer freindley you will answer my question if you don’t give if you don’t care about consumers you will just delete this post just like every other post that MS does not like.

More developers will innovate and make great games for it if they know it comes with every system. This has been reiterated multiple times across the internet. It’s also common sense. People give you hard time because its the same song and dance story from you every post. We get it, you don’t like Kinect! Move along.

what i mean is that the kinect is a expensive bit of kit which to be honest i don’t need and nether does the console to operate. so why can i not simply just buy the console without.?

i don’t think am alone on this one as well am sure most would prefer a cheaper console.

is it because Microsoft have sunk millions into this bit of plastic tat.?

i am in my forties and am too old to be waving my arms and jumping up and down so why would i need it i also i don want to talk to a black box of electronics that’s what humans are for and ( i can turn on my tv just fine with the stand by button).

i know that MS is in love with the kinect but you have not shown

any justification to have the thing.

i feel that the xbox team have blinkered vision.

you know if i was to go into a car show room and ask to buy a car but without a radio they would sell it to me that way or like when i go to buy a computer i have choice and that’s the magic word here CHOICE. how can you tell me MS is listening when you won’t offer an option. and that what i mean when i say MS is dictating to the consumer not listening.

ps im not new to this i been using xbox from day one and never before felt let down by Microsoft untill now.

i don’t care for or want the kinect it just a piece of tat to me that add much cost to what could be much cheaper device. but MS feel that me as the consumer should not have a choice in ownership of it.

Microsoft has not given us a reason why we must have this expensive pile of tat but i think there scared that if they offer a choice that they would end up with millions of pounds worth of sensors they can not sell.
so what am asking is why at very least don’t they explain to consumers who want to know instead of keeping stum on the subject.

Microsoft are i love with kinect and no know what they say about love being blind. if MS were giving away kinects for free then i would be happy to give it a try but there not they are charging us for it, £80 in fact.

but i don’t want it, i never wanted it right back to the days when project natal ( the code name for kinect one) was first announced.
i though it’s was a bad idea then and was proved right ( my brother bought one and it would not even work in any rooms in his house or mine). that kinect is now rotting in my local cash converts for the price of twenty quid and no one will buy it.and i am sure that if MS sold the new kinect separately that would be it’s fate too.

I’m pretty sure you’re the minority that is embarrassed. If you’re independently (the key part your missing) developing an app, and most of the free world owns a iDevice of some kind, you’d be a fool not to develop for it.

And after listening to the new podcast, she mentions she wanted to challenge herself to write code she is not familiar with (iOS) and writing this code is a hobby. And last I checked most normal employers don’t regulate your hobbies.
