It says something when you have interviews about 4 different games, with 4 different developers, and none of them are exclusive to the 360.  That doesn’t speak well for the direction that the console is heading in.  It looks like MS is content to ride the coattails of Call of Duty for the foreseeable future (with it’s one month map pack exclusivity deal)…

maybe, but xbox is still the best platform for 3rd party games with Xbox Live and Achievements. I’m guessing they are saving the 1st party games for next year and the new console.

I doubt it.  The only 1st party game that you probably see next year is Halo 4.

I have to sadly agree here. With sony having exclusives like Uncharted MS had a poor show overall with all the kinect stuff and not much for core gamers exclusively for the console. Im worried that core gamers (who make up the vast majority of the userbase) are being overlooked while MS seek other demographics. I have no probelms with kids games on the console as I have young kids myself, however it seems as though this is mostly whats coming, kids, mini games and dancing stuff. It worries me for future exclusives and whether we will have any to shout about at all.

The Secret Code for Wipeout in the Zone did not unlock the Life Jacket Avatar Award. It only unlocked the Helmet.

Can you get back in touch with Matt to get that other secret code as well? Thanks again.

Can’t wait for this fall/winter, it is a nice time to be an Xbox gamer. Maybe I missed it but when does the New NXE hit?

I was actually surprised (and pleased frankly) to hear you guys talk about ‘the other companies’  on the show, giving credit where it was due and voicing concern where most all of us are also concerned (although imo you went a little easy on the big N, im very concerned about their new direction).

I would like to suggest a topic for a future episode. A double topic actually. Games you would like to see sequels to, and secondly games who’s sequels may not be able to live up to their parent or the hype surrounding them. Im thinking specifically about GTA V and Half Life 3 here, the fans have built those games up so much that im not even sure when they come (if they do) that they could ever live up to the game people already have in their minds. Plus of course the fact that the current gen is kind of showing its age somewhat now, and I say that knowing there is still untapped potential in the systems. Still, on the current console tech I worry that some sequels could never live up to the lofty expectations of their fans.

P.S. My most wanted sequel is actually Limbo 2 (as long is its alot longer than the first incarnation). Just more of the same tbh and I would be happy, such a wonderfully engrossing, even magical game.

In a podcast Instead of stepto talking politics. I would like to hear an explination as to why the enforcement team spends most of its time in Call of Duty games and not in other games that are in the top 20 at least.

Too many cheesy Kinect games.  Being on rails, since you really can’t move more than 2 steps in either direction, is a huge flaw in the Kinect.
